Our Seashore walk on Bank Holiday Monday 7th May coincides with one of the best tides of the year. Low water is at 1203 hrs BST tide predicted at 0.4 metres above chart datum Starting at 11am from our Tipi tent headquarters on the Filey Country Park (near the adventure play equipment) we will be walking down to Filey Brigg to look at the seashore life, rocks and fossils. Weather permitting there will be an opportunity to look at some of the finds with microscopes in our Tipi. We do not pitch the tent in high winds or persistent heavy rain. Check the Met Office site for the ongoing forecast.
Accompanied children are welcome and the event is free of charge. Strong footwear is recommended. preferably wellingtons. The further parts of Filey Brigg are not suitable for pushchairs. There are no toilets on Filey Brigg. Please see our event calendar for details of the location.
